MV Transportation, Inc.

MV Transportation, was founded in 1975 and is owned by husband and wife Alexis and Feysan Lodde. The MV acronym relates to California Medi-Van, the first name used by the company. The company started out with a single van in San Francisco and now operate buses in 98 locations in 22 states.

MV Transportation provides contract transit services for fixed-route and shuttle bus services, along with paratransit. Approximately one half of their operations are dedicated paratransit operations and one half dedicated to fixed route/multimodal services. They also perform maintenance functions in approximately 80% of their current contracts.

Its customers consist primarily of transit authorities and other state and local government agencies responsible for public transportation.

MV Transportation, Inc. has been named the No. 1 employment leader and the 15th largest African-American-owned industrial/service company in the United States by Black Enterprise Magazine.
