ARM explores, develops, operates and holds significant interests in the South African mining industry.
Company focus is in the ferrous, platinum group metals, nickel, and gold sectors.
The company consists of three divisions – ARM Ferrous, ARM Platinum and ARM Exploration and owns a 16.2% stake in Harmony. ARM employs approximately 5 800 people.
ARM was created from a number of transaction between Avmin, African Rainbow Minerals and Exploration Investments (Proprietary) Limited (ARMI) and Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited (Harmony) in early 2004.
